Antibacterial
Composition:
Each ml contains
Oxytetracycline Dihydrate – IP
Equivalent to Oxytetracycline – IP – 200mg
In 2 -Pyrrolidone vehicle system.
Indications:
Broad spectrum antibiotic, effective in coli bacillosis, anthrax, black quarter, heamorragicspecticaemia, blue tongue in sheep, foot-tot in sheep, CRD, coryza in poultry, also indicated in secondary bacterial infections to viral infections.
Dosage and Administration:
Cattle, Buffaloes, Sheep, Goat and Pigs: Single dose rate 1ml per 10kg body weight by intramuscular route only.
Poultry:
1ml per 4kg body weight by subcutaneous route only.
Special note:
Only IM route in cattle. Inject the drug at 2 to 3 different sites preferably in deep gluteal muscle. Ideal for rural conditions where long acting injections are needed.

Composition:
- Each ml contains : Oxytetracycline hydrochloride – IP – 50mg – 100mg
Indications:
Broad Spectrum in H.S., B.Q., Calf pneumonia, blue tongue and other bacterial infections in sheep and cattle.
Dosage and Administration:
- Cattle : 5 to 10mg per kg body weight
- Small Animals : 7 to 11mg per kg body weight
- By IM, IV and SC.

Composition:
Each ml contains :
Ciprofloxacin Lactate IP
Equivalent to Ciprofloxacin 100mg
Indications:
Against infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria infections of upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract, Gastro intestinal tract infections, Metritis, Endometritis, pyometra, urinary tract infections, skin, bone and ear infections, presurgical/post surgical care, in contract animals in anthrax, sheep Enterotoxaomia.
Dosage and Administration:
4-5mg/kg weight intramuscular, in severe cases the suggested dose can be added to infusion such as normal saline, Dextrose saline or ringer lactate solution as a drip for I.V. use
Special Note :
When given IM the drug may be injected in 2 to 3 different sites.
Presentation:
- Ciprovet 100: 30ml
- Ciprovet : 10ml, 30ml, 50ml.
Composition:
Each ml contains :
Tylosin – IP – 50mg – 100mg- 200mg
Indications:
Poultry (Respiratory problems) Sheep P.P.L.0, Bovine Pleuro Pneumonia Footrot in sheep, Metritis in cattle, secondary bacterial infections associated with viral infections.
Drug of choice in respiratory problems due to infections, caused by Mycoplasma species, mycoplasmal mastitis.
Dosage and Administration:
Intramuscularly Cattle/Sheep/Goat/Dog: 4-10mg per kg body weight IM
Poultry: 10-15mg per kg body weight.
Special Note :
Drug of choice in all respiratory problems in Sheep and Cattle mastitis & metriris caused by Mycoplasma Sp.
Presentation:

Composition:
Each ml contains :
Enrofloxacin – 100mg
Acts on E.coi., Salmonella Spp., Pasteurall Spp., Mycoplasma Spp., Staphylococcus Spp., Strephylococcus Spp., Pseudomonas Spp.
Indications:
Pneumonia, Bronchopneumonia, Coli-septicaemia/Coli-diarrhoea, Entritis, Pasteurellosis, Typhoid, Paratyphoid infections of the urinary tract, Wound infections, Secondary bacterial complications of viral diseases.
Dosage and Administration:
1ml per 20kg body weight by I.M. route for 3 to 5 days.
Caution :
Not to be recommended in combination with Chloromphenical, Macrolides and Tetracyclines, Magnesium and Aluminium containing substances might hamper the absorption or Enrofloxacin from the gastro-intestinal tract.

Enrofloxacin – 200mg

Amikacin Sulphate -IP equivalent to Amikacin – 250mg
Sodium Citrate -IP – 2.5%w/v
Sodium Metabisulphite – IP – 0.66%w/v
Methyl Paraben – IP – 0.04%w/v-
(As Preservative)
Propyl Paraben – IP – 0.01%w/v
(As Preservative)
Water for Injections – IP – q.s
Indications:
Broadest spectrum among Aminoglycoside group. It is unique among Aminoglycoside because it is resistant to Aminoglycoside destroying enzyme. “MIKAVET” is also active against many bacilli which are resistant to Gentamicin. In general “Mikavet” is indicated in GI tract, Urinary tract, respiratory tract infections and skin infections. Effective in Mastitis, Metritis
In Poultry: to treat MycoplasmosisE.Coli infections
Dosage and Administration:
- Cattle : 10mg/kg body weight
- S.A :5-10mg/ kg body weight
- Birds : 15mg/ kg body weight
- May be also used as intramammary and intra uterine infusion.
- For I.V, I.M or SC use twice a day.
Special Note:
Should not be used in combination with cephalosporin antibiotics & solutions like manitol etc. Fluid intake of animals should be high to avoid dehydration.

Composition:
Each ml contains :
Chloramphenicol – IP – 150mg
Indications:
Specific in Mastitis, BQ, HS, Broad spectrum activity against gram-positive & gram-negative organisms.
Dosage and Administration:
IM Route only
Large animals 4-11mg/kg body weight.
Acute cases 20-30mg per kg body weight.
Small animals 4-11mg per kg body weight.
Special Note :
Broad spectrum, diffuses in to C.S.F very effectively prolonged use may cause Haemopoitic toxicity, contra indicated in very young animals and Neonates.

Sulphadimidine sodium – IP – 1gm
Water for injections – IP – q.s
Indications:
Haemorrhagicsepticaemia, Broncho pneumonia, Calf diphtheria, Bacterial enteritis, Actinobacillosis, Septicaemia, Footrot, Coccidiosis and streptococcal mastitis.
Dosage and Administration:
Large animals: 15-30ml per 50kg body weight.
Continued by-Half the above dose should be administered at the interval of 24 hours for 4 to 7 days. (IM or IV)
Small animals: 0.75 to 1.5ml per 25kg body weight.
Continued by-Half the above dose given in 2 equal divided doses for 4-7 days (Preferable route is IV in all species)
